Origin Story
A family pattern she refused to repeat.
In 2017, Ling's mother passed away from heart disease. Her father had a heart attack the same year. High cholesterol. Hypertension. The kind of illness that builds quietly — over years of ignoring the signals.
One year later, Ling got her own bloodwork back. She was 21. High cholesterol. She also carries thalassemia minor — a condition that makes daily nutrition non-negotiable, not optional.
She looked at those results and made one decision: this cycle ends here.
When she looked for food that actually worked — macro-clear, fast, affordable, clean, and daily — it didn't exist in Bali. So in 2019, she built it in Kerobokan. Not as a restaurant. As a system.
Today, NUI has 4 outlets, a full team, documented operations, and a GrabFood "Resto Teladan" award. The mission hasn't changed: make eating well the easiest, most obvious thing you do every day.

What NUI Is

NUI opens in Kerobokan. Ling is cooking, serving, and promoting — everything, alone. No systems yet. Just a clear problem and the commitment to solve it.
Pandemic. Adapt or disappear.
COVID arrives months after opening. Team scatters. Cashflow hits critical. Ling builds a delivery system from scratch, adds nutrition labels to every item, and keeps the doors open.
Break. Buy. Rebuild from zero.
Partnership dissolves. Ling buys out every shareholder alone. She nearly sells the brand. Instead she restarts — sole owner, full responsibility, the freedom to build it right.
Jimbaran opens. The model holds.
Second outlet proves the concept travels. Same menu, same macros, same standard — in a completely different part of Bali.
4 outlets. GrabFood Award. Just the beginning.
Canggu opens. GrabFood names NUI "Resto Teladan 2025." SOPs fully documented. Team of 20+. NUI now runs without Ling in every room.
